This is a comprehensive list of sites and products that I highly
recommend. These links are here because I use their site and/or product
regularly in the course of my work. Entries are listed alphabetically
within their categories. The most recent additions are identified on the
main Library page.
Cascading Style Sheets, Level 1
Published by the W3C. They also maintain documentation for CSS2 and many other standards relating to web development.
Document Object Model - Internet Explorer
Microsoft's DOM documentation for the Internet Explorer browsers.
Document Object Model - Mozilla
The official DOM documentation for Gecko-based browsers.
Java API Reference
The official Sun Microsystems API reference for the Java 1.4.1 SDK, Standard Edition. Versions 1.3 and 1.2 are also available.
Javascript Guide & Reference
The official Javascript documentation is maintained by Netscape. This link is for the most current version (1.5) but I often find the old documentation useful as well.
PHP Manual
PHP is a widely used, multi-platform scripting language and platform. It is similar, in use and implimentation, to ASP and Java Server Pages.
DB Tools
Crercio O. Silva has created a wonderful, full featured database management tool. Supported DB servers include MySQL and PostgreSQL, with plans to add more as well as porting the application to other platforms. Crecrcio is actively developing this application and updates are frequent and feature-laden.
HTML-Kit
An excellent HTML/code editor with syntax highlighting, remote editing and saving via FTP, text completion, pop-up help, support for a veritible laundry list of languages, and so much more. The latest version even includes support for running under WINE/Linux.
